Dr. Muhammed Siraj is a cybersecurity specialist and academic with 15 years of experience, serving as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Informatics and Director of Graduate and Continuous Education at Academic City University in Accra. He holds a PhD in Security in Computing from Universiti Putra Malaysia, where his research focused on blockchain security, an MSc in Information and Communication Technology from Aalborg University in Denmark, and a degree from the University of Ghana. He is a licensed independent assessor with Ghana's Cyber Security Authority, holds leadership roles in national cybersecurity and privacy professional bodies, and is certified as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) and Certified Data Protection Supervisor (CDPS). Before joining Academic City, he served as Acting Director of ICT and Data Protection Supervisor at Wisconsin International University College. His expertise spans penetration testing, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, cryptography, cloud and IoT security, zero trust architecture, cyber threat intelligence, data protection, and governance, risk and compliance.
Dr. Siraj's research interests cover blockchain, cybersecurity, distributed computing, consensus protocols and machine learning, with published work on blockchain consensus security, smart-contract privacy preservation for sensitive records in the cloud, and new consensus mechanisms. This background gives him a distinctive perspective on artificial intelligence: as organisations adopt AI tools, agents and data-driven automation, he helps learners understand how to protect the data these systems depend on, recognise new attack surfaces, and put sound governance, privacy and access controls in place so that AI can be used safely and responsibly. In the classroom he connects technical practice with regulation, privacy and human factors, drawing on real-world security and data-protection cases to show how concepts apply in professional settings, and his experiential, hands-on teaching style has made him a trusted trainer for students and working professionals alike.
Visual content is one of the most practical places to apply generative AI, and Dr. Alfred Ang has built a surprising amount of it. Dr. Ang is a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect and corporate trainer, and serves as Chief Technology Officer of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd, the Singapore training organisation behind Tertiary Courses. Working end to end across front ends, back ends, databases, cloud deployment and native mobile apps, Dr. Ang has produced a wide range of image and media projects. A logo maker generates three design options from a written description using Gemini or OpenAI image models. A video creation tool turns any topic into a narrated video with AI-written scripts, voiceover and animated scenes, while an automated YouTube production pipeline uses an agent to research, script and assemble videos from simple topic requests. A lip-sync demo turns a portrait and a script into a talking avatar, and a digital-human service builds branded, voice-cloned avatars. On mobile, Dr. Ang has shipped a passport photo app on iOS and Android that removes backgrounds on the device and crops faces to official sizes, a Procreate-style sketching studio for iPhone and iPad, an offline fractal art generator and a document scanner with image enhancement filters. A browser-based playground that generates AR and VR scenes from vibe prompts extends the same ideas into three dimensions. These projects, among more than 300 public repositories on GitHub, sit at the meeting point of creative tools and AI automation.
In Generative AI for Adobe Photoshop, Dr. Ang draws on that hands-on image work to help learners use AI as a creative partner while keeping full control of the final result. The course begins with generative AI for visual communication: how text-to-image models work, what makes a strong visual brief, and where AI imagery helps or harms a brand. Learners then work in Adobe Firefly, writing descriptive prompts, choosing styles and reference images, and generating concepts for posters, social posts and presentations. The third topic moves into Photoshop itself, using Generative Fill to add or remove objects, Generative Expand to extend backgrounds and canvases, and selection tools to target precise areas. The final topic focuses on enhancing and refining AI-generated images with layers, masks, adjustments and retouching so the outcome looks polished rather than obviously synthetic. Dr. Ang explains the reasoning behind each prompt, shows several variations side by side and encourages learners to iterate until the image fits the message. Practical issues are covered openly, including content credentials, licensing considerations, keeping brand colours consistent and recognising when a human designer's judgement must take over. Every exercise produces an asset, so learners finish with a small portfolio of edited images and a repeatable workflow for marketing and communication tasks. Short critique rounds let learners see how small prompt changes transform the final image.
