Dr. Muhammed Siraj is a cybersecurity specialist and academic with 15 years of experience, serving as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Informatics and Director of Graduate and Continuous Education at Academic City University in Accra. He holds a PhD in Security in Computing from Universiti Putra Malaysia, where his research focused on blockchain security, an MSc in Information and Communication Technology from Aalborg University in Denmark, and a degree from the University of Ghana. He is a licensed independent assessor with Ghana's Cyber Security Authority, holds leadership roles in national cybersecurity and privacy professional bodies, and is certified as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) and Certified Data Protection Supervisor (CDPS). Before joining Academic City, he served as Acting Director of ICT and Data Protection Supervisor at Wisconsin International University College. His expertise spans penetration testing, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, cryptography, cloud and IoT security, zero trust architecture, cyber threat intelligence, data protection, and governance, risk and compliance.
Dr. Siraj's research interests cover blockchain, cybersecurity, distributed computing, consensus protocols and machine learning, with published work on blockchain consensus security, smart-contract privacy preservation for sensitive records in the cloud, and new consensus mechanisms. This background gives him a distinctive perspective on artificial intelligence: as organisations adopt AI tools, agents and data-driven automation, he helps learners understand how to protect the data these systems depend on, recognise new attack surfaces, and put sound governance, privacy and access controls in place so that AI can be used safely and responsibly. In the classroom he connects technical practice with regulation, privacy and human factors, drawing on real-world security and data-protection cases to show how concepts apply in professional settings, and his experiential, hands-on teaching style has made him a trusted trainer for students and working professionals alike.
Workflow automation with AI agents is a speciality of Dr. Alfred Ang, a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect and corporate trainer who serves as Chief Technology Officer of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd, the Singapore training organisation behind Tertiary Courses. Dr. Ang builds end to end, covering front ends, back ends, databases, cloud deployment and native mobile apps, and has delivered many low-code and agent-based automations that mirror what Copilot Studio and Power Automate do in the Microsoft world. On n8n, Dr. Ang built a self-service HR portal where leave applications go through human-in-the-loop manager approval and an AI chatbot answers policy questions within input and output guardrails, a retrieval-augmented chatbot that answers questions from uploaded PDFs through Telegram, a course chatbot for a bakery training centre, and an inventory forecasting agent running on a local language model. Email automation workflows handle auto-replies, Gmail and subscriber management for the Malaysia and Ghana sites, and a low-code IoT platform triggers device actions and alerts from n8n flows. Dr. Ang also built an ERP prototype that routes purchase-order approvals through email, Asana and Telegram, an AI-powered learning and training management system with AI agent automation, and a tool that searches Microsoft Learn courses and generates achievement codes through Playwright automation. Each project combines triggers, connectors, conditions and AI decisions, and all are visible among more than 300 public repositories on GitHub. Many of these flows run unattended every day, so reliability and clear failure alerts matter.
Copilot Studio and Power Automate is taught from that perspective of designing automations that run reliably in real organisations. Dr. Ang opens with Copilot Studio workflows, showing how triggers, connectors, conditions and actions combine with Power Automate flows to move information between Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel and other services without manual copying. In the second topic, learners build Copilot Studio agents grounded in organisational knowledge, configure topics and instructions, and give agents actions so they can do work such as logging a request or updating a list rather than only answering questions. The third topic applies both tools to real-life scenarios: approval processes, request intake forms, automated notifications, document processing and agents that hand over to a person when a decision needs human judgement. Dr. Ang draws on experience building human-in-the-loop approval flows to explain error handling, testing, naming conventions, permissions and how to monitor flows after they go live. Sessions are hands-on: Dr. Ang demonstrates each build step by step, explains the design choices, then guides learners as they create their own agent and flow for a process from their workplace. Common pitfalls such as connector authentication, infinite loops and over-broad agent knowledge are covered with practical fixes. Learners leave with working automations, a reusable design checklist and the confidence to identify further processes to automate. Each learner also documents the finished flow so colleagues can maintain it later. To explore the agent and workflow projects behind this course, visit https://github.com/alfredang
