Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (CLSSGB) gives you the knowledge and tools to lead process improvement projects using the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC methodology. Green Belts play a key role in organisations, identifying problems, analysing data and implementing improvements that reduce defects, waste and cost while increasing customer satisfaction. The course is designed for engineers, quality and operations professionals, supervisors and managers who want to lead improvement projects and earn the Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt credential.

You will start with Six Sigma and organisational goals, understanding how improvement projects link to strategy, and Lean principles in the organisation, including value, waste, flow and pull. You will also be introduced to Design for Six Sigma (DFSS). Next you will cover the Define phase, project management basics and other Define tools, such as project charters, voice of the customer, SIPOC and stakeholder analysis. The course then moves through the Measure phase, covering process mapping, data collection, basic statistics, measurement system analysis and process capability.

You will then apply Analyse phase tools to find root causes, including hypothesis testing, correlation and regression, followed by the Improve and Control phases, where you will select and pilot solutions and sustain gains with control charts and control plans. Practical exercises and case studies reinforce every phase. By the end, you will be able to lead Green Belt improvement projects confidently and be prepared to sit for the CLSSGB certification exam.

Dr. Alfred Ang is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a PMP-certified project manager who has applied data-driven process improvement throughout his engineering and technology career. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from NTU and a BSc (Hons) in Physics from NUS, and spent more than 20 years in the defence, electronics and semiconductor industries, where he co-invented more than 20 US patents and published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers. Today he is the Chief Technology Officer of Tertiary Infotech Academy and founded Tertiary Infotech Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia in 2016. As CTO he leads the planning, delivery and continuous release of the course-registration and learning management platform behind the Tertiary Courses websites in Singapore, Malaysia and Ghana, coordinating developers, trainers and operations staff across three countries. Measurement, root-cause analysis and process control were part of his daily work in semiconductor and electronics engineering, and he still applies Lean thinking to reduce waste and rework in software releases and training operations. A Distinguished Toastmaster who has won many public speaking awards, he makes statistical tools and the DMAIC roadmap easy to follow.
