Dr. Muhammed Siraj is a cybersecurity specialist and academic with 15 years of experience, serving as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Informatics and Director of Graduate and Continuous Education at Academic City University in Accra. He holds a PhD in Security in Computing from Universiti Putra Malaysia, where his research focused on blockchain security, an MSc in Information and Communication Technology from Aalborg University in Denmark, and a degree from the University of Ghana. He is a licensed independent assessor with Ghana's Cyber Security Authority, holds leadership roles in national cybersecurity and privacy professional bodies, and is certified as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) and Certified Data Protection Supervisor (CDPS). Before joining Academic City, he served as Acting Director of ICT and Data Protection Supervisor at Wisconsin International University College. His expertise spans penetration testing, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, cryptography, cloud and IoT security, zero trust architecture, cyber threat intelligence, data protection, and governance, risk and compliance.
Dr. Siraj's research interests cover blockchain, cybersecurity, distributed computing, consensus protocols and machine learning, with published work on blockchain consensus security, smart-contract privacy preservation for sensitive records in the cloud, and new consensus mechanisms. This background gives him a distinctive perspective on artificial intelligence: as organisations adopt AI tools, agents and data-driven automation, he helps learners understand how to protect the data these systems depend on, recognise new attack surfaces, and put sound governance, privacy and access controls in place so that AI can be used safely and responsibly. In the classroom he connects technical practice with regulation, privacy and human factors, drawing on real-world security and data-protection cases to show how concepts apply in professional settings, and his experiential, hands-on teaching style has made him a trusted trainer for students and working professionals alike.
The best automation targets the dull, repetitive parts of a job, and Dr. Alfred Ang has been handing exactly that kind of work to AI agents for some time. Dr. Ang is CTO of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd in Singapore, the training organisation behind Tertiary Courses, and a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect and corporate trainer who builds intelligent agents and business solutions end to end, from front end and back end to databases, cloud deployment and native mobile apps. Coding agents such as Codex and Claude Code are part of Dr. Ang's everyday toolkit, and the public portfolio at github.com/alfredang, now more than 300 repositories, shows what that looks like in practice. It includes a codex-demo project, a dependency-free course catalogue with an AI-assisted course adviser; a published set of Claude Code skills that automate app start-up, README generation, Docker Hub pushes and secret scanning; and generators that produce structured courseware documents and proposals from short briefs. On the business side, Dr. Ang has built n8n workflows that send automatic email replies and sync subscribers for Tertiary Courses in Malaysia and Ghana, an inventory agent that audits stock levels and reports through Google Sheets and Gmail, and an ERP prototype with scheduled agents and human-in-the-loop approvals. Version control and review sit at the centre of all of it, because every automated change still lands in a repository where it can be checked, tested and rolled back if needed.
This one-day course brings that workflow to everyday work tasks. Learners start with what Codex is and how the agent works, then set up the Codex CLI, the IDE extension and Codex Cloud so tasks can run in the terminal, inside an editor or in the background while other work carries on. Dr. Ang introduces prompting patterns that produce reliable automation and shows how standing instructions in an AGENTS.md file keep the agent consistent from one task to the next, much like the reusable skills and instruction files used across the portfolio. The second topic is entirely practical: cleaning and transforming data and spreadsheets, organising files and generating reports, building reusable automation scripts, and connecting Codex to GitHub with a verify-then-trust review habit so nothing is merged without being checked. Dr. Ang teaches with real office scenarios rather than abstract coding exercises, which means messy CSV exports, folders that need sorting and weekly reports that ought to write themselves, and is candid about where the agent needs tighter instructions or a human check. No prior programming experience is required, although learners comfortable with spreadsheets will move fastest. Each participant leaves with working automations for their own tasks, a starter AGENTS.md file and a simple routine for reviewing what Codex produces before it is relied upon.
