What's This Course About

Certified Lean Six Sigma White Belt (CLSSWB) gives you a clear, foundational understanding of Lean Six Sigma and how it helps organisations improve quality, reduce waste and serve customers better. Lean Six Sigma combines Lean thinking, which removes non-value-adding activities, with Six Sigma, which reduces variation using data. The White Belt level is ideal for team members, supervisors and professionals who want to understand the language of process improvement and support improvement projects in their organisation.

You will start with an introduction to quality, exploring what quality means to customers, the cost of poor quality, the history of Six Sigma and Lean, and the roles of White, Yellow, Green and Black Belts. Next you will cover the Six Sigma Define, Measure and Analyse phases, learning how to define a problem and project scope, map a process, identify customer requirements, collect data and use simple tools such as cause-and-effect diagrams and Pareto charts to find root causes.

The final topic covers the Six Sigma Improve and Control phases, including generating and selecting solutions, piloting changes and sustaining gains with standard work and simple control methods. Practical examples and group activities help you see how the DMAIC framework applies in real workplaces. By the end, you will understand the core principles of Lean Six Sigma, be able to contribute effectively to improvement teams, and be prepared to sit for the Certified Lean Six Sigma White Belt (CLSSWB) certification.
