Helping people prepare for the next step in their careers is a theme that runs through many of the projects built by Dr. Alfred Ang. Dr. Ang is a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect, corporate trainer and CTO of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd in Singapore, the training organisation behind Tertiary Courses, designing intelligent agents and complete solutions from front end to back end, databases, cloud deployment and native mobile apps. In the public portfolio of 300+ repositories, an AI interviewing app lets users practise job interviews with an AI hiring manager across six roles, including software engineer, data analyst, product manager and digital marketer. An AI coaching simulator helps users explore how jobs can be redesigned around accountable AI-agent ownership through six scenarios. A single-file HR tool generates candidate-tailored interview questions and analyses how well a CV matches a job description. Dr. Ang has also built a self-service HR portal with leave applications and an HR chatbot, an HR and accounting platform for staff records, and a tutor marketplace that screens applicants with a ten-minute AI interview powered by Claude. A workplace learning website focuses on AI transformation and job redesign. As CTO of a training organisation, Dr. Ang also works closely with learners and trainers deciding which skills to build next. These projects give a practical view of how AI can assess competencies, reveal gaps and support development conversations. Dr. Ang's apps for English pronunciation practice and certification exam preparation further show a long-standing interest in helping people build skills and confidence. Dr. Ang is also a Distinguished Toastmaster who has won many public speaking awards, and the coaching, evaluation and feedback skills he built in Toastmasters shape how he helps learners hold career, performance and development conversations with confidence.
In AI for Career Coaching, Dr. Ang combines those tools and experiences with established coaching practice. The first topic, career development principles, introduces career theories, the changing world of work and the role of the coach, and shows how generative AI can help research career pathways, emerging roles and labour market trends. The second topic, assessing employee competencies, has learners use AI to analyse skills and experience, compare profiles against job requirements and identify development gaps, using techniques similar to the CV and job-description matching Dr. Ang has built, while discussing the limits and potential biases of automated assessment. The third topic, career management, covers creating personalised development plans, preparing coaching conversations and drafting materials such as learning roadmaps and progress check-ins. The fourth topic, supporting career plan implementation, focuses on following through: practising interviews with AI role-play, tracking progress, adjusting plans and keeping the human relationship at the centre of the process. Dr. Ang encourages learners to experience the tools from the coachee's side as well, for example by running a mock interview with an AI hiring manager and reflecting on the feedback. The course suits coaches, HR professionals, managers and mentors who want to offer more structured and personalised career support. Learners leave with ready-to-use prompts, templates and a clear view of responsible AI use in coaching. Dr. Muhammed Siraj is a cybersecurity specialist and academic with 15 years of experience, serving as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Informatics and Director of Graduate and Continuous Education at Academic City University in Accra. He holds a PhD in Security in Computing from Universiti Putra Malaysia, where his research focused on blockchain security, an MSc in Information and Communication Technology from Aalborg University in Denmark, and a degree from the University of Ghana. He is a licensed independent assessor with Ghana's Cyber Security Authority, holds leadership roles in national cybersecurity and privacy professional bodies, and is certified as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) and Certified Data Protection Supervisor (CDPS). Before joining Academic City, he served as Acting Director of ICT and Data Protection Supervisor at Wisconsin International University College. His expertise spans penetration testing, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, cryptography, cloud and IoT security, zero trust architecture, cyber threat intelligence, data protection, and governance, risk and compliance.
Dr. Siraj's research interests cover blockchain, cybersecurity, distributed computing, consensus protocols and machine learning, with published work on blockchain consensus security, smart-contract privacy preservation for sensitive records in the cloud, and new consensus mechanisms. This background gives him a distinctive perspective on artificial intelligence: as organisations adopt AI tools, agents and data-driven automation, he helps learners understand how to protect the data these systems depend on, recognise new attack surfaces, and put sound governance, privacy and access controls in place so that AI can be used safely and responsibly. In the classroom he connects technical practice with regulation, privacy and human factors, drawing on real-world security and data-protection cases to show how concepts apply in professional settings, and his experiential, hands-on teaching style has made him a trusted trainer for students and working professionals alike.
