Agile Project Management Masterclass equips you with the fundamentals and practical techniques of agile methods such as Scrum and Kanban so you can deliver projects that adapt to change and deliver value early and often. Agile approaches are now used far beyond software, in marketing, operations, product development and transformation programmes. The masterclass is designed for project managers, team leads, product owners, business analysts and professionals who want to manage projects in a more flexible, collaborative way.

You will start with an introduction to agile project management, comparing agile and traditional predictive approaches, and exploring the Agile Manifesto, its values and principles, and when agile is the right fit. Next you will cover agile essentials, including Scrum roles, events and artifacts, Kanban boards and flow, user stories, backlogs, prioritisation techniques and estimation methods such as story points and planning poker. You will learn how agile teams plan releases and sprints and how leaders support self-organising teams.

The final topic focuses on agile project execution and tracking, including running iterations, managing work in progress, tracking progress with burndown and burnup charts and velocity, managing risks and stakeholder expectations, and continuously improving through retrospectives. Practical exercises and simulations let you apply each concept to realistic projects. By the end of the masterclass, you will be able to plan, run and track agile projects effectively and help your team deliver better results.

Dr. Alfred Ang is a PMP-certified project manager and a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt who combines formal project management discipline with hands-on delivery experience. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, an MSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from NTU and a BSc (Hons) in Physics from NUS, and spent more than 20 years in the defence, electronics and semiconductor industries, where he co-invented more than 20 US patents and published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers. Today he is the Chief Technology Officer of Tertiary Infotech Academy and founded Tertiary Infotech Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia in 2016.
