What's This Course About

Agentic AI with n8n teaches you how to combine n8n's low-code workflow orchestration with autonomous AI agents to design, build and deploy intelligent automations. n8n connects hundreds of apps and services, and its AI agent capabilities let workflows reason, make decisions, call tools and retrieve knowledge, so you can automate processes that once needed a person at every step. The course is designed for operations and IT professionals, business analysts, developers and automation enthusiasts.

You will start with workflow automation in n8n, learning triggers, nodes, credentials, data mapping and error handling by building practical automations across email, spreadsheets, CRMs and chat. Next you will move into agentic process automation with AI agents, giving agents instructions, memory and tools so they can classify requests, extract information and take the right action. You will then build agentic automations with webhooks and HTTP requests, integrating external systems and APIs to make your agents part of real business processes.

The course continues with enhancing workflow automation with agentic RAG, connecting agents to your documents through vector stores so they can answer accurately from company knowledge, and closes with human-in-the-loop controls, monitoring and deployment, adding approval steps, logging, testing and secure hosting. Every topic is hands-on with realistic scenarios. By the end, you will be able to design and run reliable agentic AI workflows in n8n that save time and scale your operations.

Dr. Muhammed Siraj is a cybersecurity specialist and academic with 15 years of experience, serving as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Informatics and Director of Graduate and Continuous Education at Academic City University in Accra. He holds a PhD in Security in Computing from Universiti Putra Malaysia, where his research focused on blockchain security, an MSc in Information and Communication Technology from Aalborg University in Denmark, and a degree from the University of Ghana. He is a licensed independent assessor with Ghana's Cyber Security Authority, holds leadership roles in national cybersecurity and privacy professional bodies, and is certified as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) and Certified Data Protection Supervisor (CDPS). Before joining Academic City, he served as Acting Director of ICT and Data Protection Supervisor at Wisconsin International University College. His expertise spans penetration testing, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, cryptography, cloud and IoT security, zero trust architecture, cyber threat intelligence, data protection, and governance, risk and compliance.

Dr. Siraj's research interests cover blockchain, cybersecurity, distributed computing, consensus protocols and machine learning, with published work on blockchain consensus security, smart-contract privacy preservation for sensitive records in the cloud, and new consensus mechanisms. This background gives him a distinctive perspective on artificial intelligence: as organisations adopt AI tools, agents and data-driven automation, he helps learners understand how to protect the data these systems depend on, recognise new attack surfaces, and put sound governance, privacy and access controls in place so that AI can be used safely and responsibly. In the classroom he connects technical practice with regulation, privacy and human factors, drawing on real-world security and data-protection cases to show how concepts apply in professional settings, and his experiential, hands-on teaching style has made him a trusted trainer for students and working professionals alike.

n8n is one of Dr. Alfred Ang's go-to tools for turning AI agents into dependable automations. Dr. Ang is a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect and corporate trainer, and is CTO of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd, the Singapore training organisation behind Tertiary Courses, building intelligent agents and scalable solutions end-to-end across front end, back end, databases, cloud deployment and native mobile apps. Of the more than 300 public repositories on GitHub, a substantial group is built on n8n. Dr. Ang created a low-code, self-hosted IoT platform powered by n8n that connects Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi devices over MQTT and HTTP with companion iOS and Android apps, and an inventory audit and forecasting agent that runs on a local LLM through Ollama. Other projects include a no-code RAG demo where a Telegram agent powered by Google Gemini answers questions from uploaded PDFs, a customer-service RAG chatbot for a cooking and bakery training centre, a stock-analysis dashboard with a Telegram AI agent, an investment advisor chatbot, an HR portal with human-in-the-loop leave approval, and an email automation for Tertiary Courses Malaysia and Ghana using Gmail OAuth and MailerLite. Together they cover nearly every pattern this course teaches. Building and running these automations has given Dr. Ang practical knowledge of the details that decide whether an n8n workflow survives in production, such as credential management, retries, rate limits, logging and keeping a human informed when an agent is unsure.

Agentic AI with n8n gives operations and IT professionals, business analysts, developers and automation enthusiasts a structured path from simple workflows to secure, production-ready agents. Dr. Ang begins with workflow automation fundamentals in n8n, including triggers, nodes, data mapping and error handling. The second topic introduces agentic process automation, where AI agents reason over inputs, choose tools and make decisions inside a workflow. Topic three covers webhooks and HTTP requests, so learners can trigger automations from forms and other systems and call external APIs, a technique Dr. Ang uses across the IoT platform and email projects. The fourth topic enhances workflows with agentic RAG, building agents that retrieve answers from documents and knowledge bases while staying grounded in the source material. The final topic addresses human-in-the-loop design, monitoring and security in n8n: adding approval steps, logging and alerting, protecting credentials and controlling what an agent may do. Because each of these patterns has run in one of Dr. Ang's own projects, the class includes practical advice on what fails in production and how to fix it. Sessions are hands-on, with live builds, guided exercises and time to prototype an automation from learners' own work. Participants also learn how to self-host n8n or use a cloud workspace, organise and version their workflows, and choose between cloud and local language models based on cost, speed and data sensitivity, so they can plan automations that remain affordable and compliant as usage grows.
