What's This Course About

Sustainability Masterclass equips professionals and organisations with practical skills to measure, analyse and reduce their carbon footprint and drive meaningful environmental sustainability. With growing expectations from customers, investors and regulators, organisations need credible plans to cut emissions and report progress. The masterclass is designed for sustainability and ESG officers, operations and facilities managers, business owners and professionals who are responsible for, or want to contribute to, their organisation's sustainability goals.

You will start by identifying and analysing carbon footprint hotspots, learning the basics of greenhouse gas accounting, Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and how to collect activity data and apply emission factors to calculate an organisation's footprint. You will identify the processes, assets and supply chain activities that contribute most to emissions. Next you will prioritise carbon footprint reduction initiatives, evaluating options such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable procurement, waste reduction and transport changes by cost, impact and feasibility.

The final topic covers implementing a carbon footprint reduction plan, setting targets, assigning responsibilities, engaging stakeholders, tracking progress with key indicators and communicating results transparently. Throughout the masterclass you will work on practical exercises and case studies drawn from real organisations. By the end, you will be able to measure your organisation's carbon footprint, identify the most effective reduction opportunities and lead a practical plan that moves your organisation towards its sustainability targets.
