What's This Course About

Scrum Master and Design Sprint Masterclass equips you with the knowledge and skills to lead agile teams using Scrum and to run focused design sprints that validate ideas quickly. Scrum helps teams deliver value in short, iterative cycles, while a design sprint compresses months of debate into a structured process for understanding a problem, generating solutions, prototyping and testing with real users. The masterclass is designed for aspiring Scrum Masters, project managers, product owners, team leads and innovation practitioners.

You will start with Scrum foundations, including the Agile Manifesto, agile values and principles, empiricism and the Scrum framework. Next you will explore Scrum roles and accountabilities, understanding the responsibilities of the Scrum Master, Product Owner and Developers and how the Scrum Master serves the team and organisation. You will then cover agile and Scrum meetings, learning how to plan and facilitate sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews and retrospectives effectively.

The course continues with Scrum and agile project management, including user stories, estimation, velocity and scaling considerations, and Scrum artifacts such as the product backlog, sprint backlog and increment with their commitments. You will also learn how to plan and facilitate a design sprint, from mapping the challenge and sketching solutions to prototyping and user testing. Practical exercises and simulations bring each concept to life. By the end, you will be able to lead Scrum teams and run effective design sprints with confidence.
