Dr. Muhammed Siraj is a cybersecurity specialist and academic with 15 years of experience, serving as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Informatics and Director of Graduate and Continuous Education at Academic City University in Accra. He holds a PhD in Security in Computing from Universiti Putra Malaysia, where his research focused on blockchain security, an MSc in Information and Communication Technology from Aalborg University in Denmark, and a degree from the University of Ghana. He is a licensed independent assessor with Ghana's Cyber Security Authority, holds leadership roles in national cybersecurity and privacy professional bodies, and is certified as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) and Certified Data Protection Supervisor (CDPS). Before joining Academic City, he served as Acting Director of ICT and Data Protection Supervisor at Wisconsin International University College. His expertise spans penetration testing, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, cryptography, cloud and IoT security, zero trust architecture, cyber threat intelligence, data protection, and governance, risk and compliance.
Dr. Siraj's research interests cover blockchain, cybersecurity, distributed computing, consensus protocols and machine learning, with published work on blockchain consensus security, smart-contract privacy preservation for sensitive records in the cloud, and new consensus mechanisms. This background gives him a distinctive perspective on artificial intelligence: as organisations adopt AI tools, agents and data-driven automation, he helps learners understand how to protect the data these systems depend on, recognise new attack surfaces, and put sound governance, privacy and access controls in place so that AI can be used safely and responsibly. In the classroom he connects technical practice with regulation, privacy and human factors, drawing on real-world security and data-protection cases to show how concepts apply in professional settings, and his experiential, hands-on teaching style has made him a trusted trainer for students and working professionals alike.
Running containerised applications reliably in production is part of Dr. Alfred Ang's routine work, which gives this Kubernetes course a practical foundation. Dr. Ang is a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect and corporate trainer, and serves as Chief Technology Officer of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd in Singapore, the training organisation behind Tertiary Courses. The course-registration and learning management platform Dr. Ang built for the Tertiary Courses websites in Singapore, Malaysia and Ghana is packaged with Docker and deployed through Coolify, with each site rebuilt and redeployed automatically on every push and database migrations applied as containers start. Dr. Ang also built a training environment management platform that launches Docker-based WordPress, Ubuntu and Kali Linux labs in the browser, with role-based access, on-demand container start and stop, and automatic shutdown of idle environments. Other deployments include a tour-guide marketplace and several full-stack Next.js and PostgreSQL applications, while a public collection of Claude Code skills includes one for pushing images to Docker Hub. Dr. Ang's production stack is centred on Docker and Coolify rather than Kubernetes, but the same container, configuration, secrets and health-check concerns apply directly, and the course builds on them. Dr. Ang works end to end, from front end and back end to databases, cloud deployment and native mobile apps, using AI coding assistants extensively throughout. More than 300 public repositories on GitHub document this hands-on work.
AI Devops with Kubernetes combines those operational lessons with AI-assisted configuration. Dr. Ang opens with containers, Kubernetes and the idea of AI-assisted DevOps, then guides learners through setting up a cluster alongside AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude. Pods, nodes and clusters are explained through hands-on exploration, and each learner runs a first application on Kubernetes early on. The second topic focuses on deploying applications: writing Deployments and Services with AI help, managing configuration and secrets safely, performing scaling and rolling updates, and asking the assistant to explain or debug manifests that misbehave. The third topic covers networking and ingress, persistent storage and volumes, monitoring, logging and health checks, and a deliberate practice of reviewing and refactoring AI-generated configuration, because generated YAML can look correct while hiding risky defaults. The final topic builds a CI/CD pipeline that deploys to Kubernetes, introduces Helm for packaging, addresses cluster security, and finishes with deploying and scaling an application in production. Dr. Ang shares hard-won lessons from running automated deployments, including keeping secrets out of repositories, verifying health after each release and always having a clear way to roll back. Teaching alternates short explanations with lab time, and learners are encouraged to let AI draft the boilerplate while they focus on understanding what each setting does. Learners leave with working manifests, a pipeline and the confidence to operate a cluster. To see the containerised projects behind this course, visit https://github.com/alfredang
