What You'll Learn
This course prepares you for the DP-700 certification exam, covering all official exam domains and their approximate weightings:
Domain 1 Implement and manage an analytics solution (32.5%)
- Configure Microsoft Fabric workspace settings (Spark, domain, OneLake, Apache Airflow)
- Implement lifecycle management in Fabric: version control, database projects, deployment pipelines
- Configure security and governance: workspace/item-level access, row/column/object/folder-file-level access, dynamic data masking, sensitivity labels, item endorsement, audit logs, OneLake security
- Orchestrate processes: choose between Dataflow Gen2, pipeline and notebook; design schedules and event-based triggers; implement orchestration patterns with notebooks and pipelines (parameters, dynamic expressions)
Domain 2 Ingest and transform data (32.5%)
- Design and implement full and incremental data loads; prepare data for a dimensional model; design a loading pattern for streaming data
- Ingest and transform batch data: choose data store and transformation tool (Dataflows Gen2, notebooks, KQL, T-SQL), create OneLake shortcuts, implement mirroring, ingest via pipelines
- Transform data using PySpark, SQL, and KQL; denormalize, group/aggregate data; handle duplicate, missing, and late-arriving data
- Ingest and transform streaming data: choose streaming engine, use Eventstreams/Spark structured streaming/KQL, choose native tables vs OneLake shortcuts, create windowing functions
Domain 3 Monitor and optimize an analytics solution (32.5%)
- Monitor Fabric items: data ingestion, data transformation, semantic model refresh, configure alerts
- Identify and resolve errors in pipelines, Dataflow Gen2, notebooks, Eventhouse, Eventstream, T-SQL, and OneLake shortcuts
- Optimize performance of Lakehouse tables, pipelines, data warehouse, Eventstreams/Eventhouses, Spark, and query performance

Prerequisite
Participants should already understand basic cloud computing and the relevant data, application or security concepts. Review the fundamentals before attending this course.
Software Requirement
Prepare the following before class:
- Microsoft Fabric
- Confirm workspace permissions, tenant access and Fabric capacity/trial availability with the trainer.
- A current web browser, a PDF reader and access to an email account. Sign in and test your accounts before class.
- Confirm licence/subscription access, any fees, training accounts and API credits with the training team before enrolment.
Hardware Requirement
Bring a Windows or Mac laptop supported by the listed software, with a working keyboard and sufficient storage for course exercises.
Bring your own computer and charger, with a reliable internet connection and permission to install the required software. For live online classes, also prepare a microphone or headset.
