Dr. Muhammed Siraj is a cybersecurity specialist and academic with 15 years of experience, serving as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Informatics and Director of Graduate and Continuous Education at Academic City University in Accra. He holds a PhD in Security in Computing from Universiti Putra Malaysia, where his research focused on blockchain security, an MSc in Information and Communication Technology from Aalborg University in Denmark, and a degree from the University of Ghana. He is a licensed independent assessor with Ghana's Cyber Security Authority, holds leadership roles in national cybersecurity and privacy professional bodies, and is certified as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) and Certified Data Protection Supervisor (CDPS). Before joining Academic City, he served as Acting Director of ICT and Data Protection Supervisor at Wisconsin International University College. His expertise spans penetration testing, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, cryptography, cloud and IoT security, zero trust architecture, cyber threat intelligence, data protection, and governance, risk and compliance.
Dr. Siraj's research interests cover blockchain, cybersecurity, distributed computing, consensus protocols and machine learning, with published work on blockchain consensus security, smart-contract privacy preservation for sensitive records in the cloud, and new consensus mechanisms. This background gives him a distinctive perspective on artificial intelligence: as organisations adopt AI tools, agents and data-driven automation, he helps learners understand how to protect the data these systems depend on, recognise new attack surfaces, and put sound governance, privacy and access controls in place so that AI can be used safely and responsibly. In the classroom he connects technical practice with regulation, privacy and human factors, drawing on real-world security and data-protection cases to show how concepts apply in professional settings, and his experiential, hands-on teaching style has made him a trusted trainer for students and working professionals alike.
Spreadsheets were where many automation journeys began, and Dr. Alfred Ang has spent years turning repetitive office tasks into code. Today Dr. Ang works as a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect and corporate trainer, and serves as CTO of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd, the Singapore training organisation behind Tertiary Courses. Much of Dr. Ang's current programming is done through AI vibe coding: describing the desired behaviour in plain English, letting an AI assistant draft the code, then testing, debugging and refining it until it is production-ready. That workflow produced the HR and accounting platform tertiary-hrms, which handles payroll, leave accrual and expense claims; a single-file inventory dashboard with sortable, filterable stock tables and derived status columns; an HR recruitment tool that generates interview questions and CV-to-job matches entirely in the browser; and many native iOS and Android apps with forms, events and validated inputs. Dr. Ang also publishes Claude Code skills that automate document generation and file handling, a natural cousin of Excel macros. Over 300 public repositories at github.com/alfredang show the same pattern of taking a manual, error-prone routine and turning it into a reliable tool with a friendly interface. For Excel users who have always wanted to automate their workbooks but found VBA intimidating, Dr. Ang offers a practical bridge between business needs and working code. Dr. Ang knows from experience that the hardest part of automation is rarely the code itself but understanding the process clearly enough to describe it precisely.
AI Vibe Coding for Excel VBA uses an AI assistant as a patient coding partner while teaching the fundamentals properly. The course begins with AI vibe coding for Excel VBA, macros and interface design, recording and generating macros and understanding the VBA editor. Learners then study programming logic, variables, decisions and loops, so they can read and correct the code the AI writes rather than accept it blindly. The third topic covers custom functions and automated procedures, from user-defined worksheet formulas to routines that clean, consolidate and report on data. The fourth topic manages Excel objects such as workbooks, worksheets and ranges, together with testing and debugging VBA code using breakpoints, the Immediate window and error handling. The final topic develops user-defined forms and events, creating simple data-entry interfaces that respond to user actions. Dr. Ang teaches by example, prompting the AI live, explaining what each line of generated code does, deliberately introducing bugs to show how to find them, and encouraging learners to iterate on their own spreadsheets. Expect plenty of hands-on practice with realistic business data such as sales lists, timesheets and invoices. Analysts, administrators, accountants and anyone who lives in Excel will leave with working macros, reusable prompts and the confidence to keep automating. Learners also practise documenting and protecting their macros, saving reusable modules and sharing automated workbooks safely with colleagues who may never open the VBA editor.
