Dr. Muhammed Siraj is a cybersecurity specialist and academic with 15 years of experience, serving as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Informatics and Director of Graduate and Continuous Education at Academic City University in Accra. He holds a PhD in Security in Computing from Universiti Putra Malaysia, where his research focused on blockchain security, an MSc in Information and Communication Technology from Aalborg University in Denmark, and a degree from the University of Ghana. He is a licensed independent assessor with Ghana's Cyber Security Authority, holds leadership roles in national cybersecurity and privacy professional bodies, and is certified as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) and Certified Data Protection Supervisor (CDPS). Before joining Academic City, he served as Acting Director of ICT and Data Protection Supervisor at Wisconsin International University College. His expertise spans penetration testing, digital forensics, incident response, malware analysis, cryptography, cloud and IoT security, zero trust architecture, cyber threat intelligence, data protection, and governance, risk and compliance.
Dr. Siraj's research interests cover blockchain, cybersecurity, distributed computing, consensus protocols and machine learning, with published work on blockchain consensus security, smart-contract privacy preservation for sensitive records in the cloud, and new consensus mechanisms. This background gives him a distinctive perspective on artificial intelligence: as organisations adopt AI tools, agents and data-driven automation, he helps learners understand how to protect the data these systems depend on, recognise new attack surfaces, and put sound governance, privacy and access controls in place so that AI can be used safely and responsibly. In the classroom he connects technical practice with regulation, privacy and human factors, drawing on real-world security and data-protection cases to show how concepts apply in professional settings, and his experiential, hands-on teaching style has made him a trusted trainer for students and working professionals alike.
Smart contracts are unforgiving: once deployed, mistakes can be permanent and expensive, so careful review matters even more than speed. Dr. Alfred Ang brings that review-first mindset from building and shipping software with AI assistants. Dr. Ang is CTO of Tertiary Infotech Academy Pte Ltd in Singapore, the training organisation behind Tertiary Courses, and a full-stack AI developer, Agentic AI solution architect and corporate trainer who builds intelligent agents and business solutions end to end, from front end and back end to databases, cloud deployment and native mobile apps. Blockchain projects are not a large part of the public portfolio at github.com/alfredang, so the connection to this course runs through adjacent work where correctness and security carry real weight. Dr. Ang built a certification practice-exam platform with multi-gateway checkout through Stripe, PayPal and other gateways, a tutor marketplace with payment and verification flows, and an ERP prototype that requires human approval before purchase orders proceed and matches invoices three ways. Security is a constant theme, from content security policies and credential-leak guards on web apps to a published secret-scanning skill for Claude Code, and a quantum computing learning site covers cryptographic ideas such as BB84 key distribution. Across more than 300 public repositories, much of the code has been vibe coded with AI assistants and then reviewed line by line, which builds an accurate sense of where AI-generated code tends to hide subtle flaws and how to catch them before release.
This one-day course applies that discipline to Solidity. Learners start with an introduction to smart contracts, Solidity and vibe coding, set up AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude, and generate and deploy a first smart contract with AI help. Dr. Ang then covers effective prompting for contract code, showing how precise descriptions of state, permissions and edge cases produce far better output than vague requests. The second topic deepens the build: adding functions, events and state to contracts, testing and debugging with AI, reviewing, auditing and securing AI-generated code, and finally deploying the contract and interacting with it. Because a deployed contract is difficult to change, Dr. Ang treats every AI suggestion as a draft that must be read, tested and questioned, and walks learners through common weaknesses to look for, such as missing access controls, unchecked inputs and logic that behaves differently from what the prompt intended. The teaching style is practical and paced for newcomers: short explanations, live demonstrations, then hands-on building on a test network where mistakes cost nothing, with time to compare outputs from different assistants. No prior blockchain experience is required, though some familiarity with programming concepts helps. Learners leave with a deployed contract, a set of reliable prompts and a review checklist for future projects. Discussion also covers gas costs, upgrade patterns and why professional audits remain essential for any contract that will hold real value.
